First the iPod then the iPhone and now iTV, the only difference is this time its not a portable gadget but its a home theater device which comes with 40 GB hard drive and supports 802.11b/g and even 802.11n for wireless streaming, Ethernet is also supported. Along with videos, photos and music, the device can also stream content from sites like Apple.com. Steve Jobs reveals these details about the long awaited AppleTV formaly know as iTV at Macworld.
It is basically a home entertainment device which takes iTunes stores onto the big screen by synchronizing iTunes content from a single computer and streaming it to five other computers or television.
AppleTV includes HDMI connector and resolution upto 720p so if you have a wide screen TV it shouldn't be a problem. For audio, iTV has RCA as well as digital outputs. It will be available in February for $299.
