There are various modes of playing this game that a player can choose from, a player can either play single player or get involved in a mission-based Arcade mode, Time Trial mode, and two mini-game training modes: Crazy Box, a collection of 16 original Crazy Taxi games; and Crazy Pyramid, mini-games arranged in a pyramid that drivers have to complete to unlock mini-games from Crazy Taxi 2.

Scheduled to arrive this summer on PSP Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars has a useful new feature where in players can work together or face off against one another, steeling passengers from other cabbies you can do this in the two-player Ad Hoc wireless multiplayer mode. Crazy Taxi 2 also allows you to save replays.
